The IAM has created its first long awaited scheme to recognise drivers who have achieved a particular high standard of driving and commentary during their Advanced Driving Test.

Called the 'IAM F1RST Register' it recognises excellence during the IAM Advanced Driving Test. By attaining a score of '1' in every category of the Advanced Driving Test candidates will attain F1RST status. F1RST Members receive a special certificate and a different membership card complete with the F1RST logo, plus other benefits. Their names are also entered onto the IAMs F1RST register.

Members who previously passed the test with the qualifying score can be added to the Register retrospectivley. The F1RST Register provides a means for members to improve their road skills by retaking an assessment and working on the areas where a score of less than 1 was achieved.
